Technical Info
Peter Cole Consultants were appointed to carry out site investigations and assessment of a planned extension upon a disused World War II ordnance site.
R.C pads were proposed alongside vibro-store columns for ground improvements. These were installed after remediation and removal of buried tanks in accordance with details, risk assessments and reports provided by PCC.
A structural steel frame, with composite steel deck floors, was utilised for speed and ease of construction. Major structural alterations to the existing steel frame were carried out in stages to minimise disturbance to the existing retail unit.
